My name is Mercer Black. I'm a mom, an entrepreneur, and an aspiring writer. I produce everything you see in this store. You won't find it anywhere else, save for with a few select wholesale clients. 

 

I created Spirit Dress as a side business to support my son and I while pursued my MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Little did I know the places this company would take me. I now have my MFA and thriving business with one part-time employee. It keeps me very busy (along with the 11-year-old in the picture and my novel in progress)!
